A man in his 80s was robbed by two men wearing balaclavas and riding a black E-scooter earlier this month.

Police are now appealing for witnesses to the incident which took place on Friday, August 8th at around 2:45pm over the Oxford Road bridge.

The man was approached by two men wearing balaclavas who tried to grab his bag and in the process pulled the victim to the floor as he kept hold of his bag. Nothing was stolen, but the victim did have to attend hospital after suffering bruising injuries.

Investigating officer, Detective Constable Amber Spicer, said: “I am appealing to anybody who witnessed the interaction between the victim and offenders, or who may have any information that may assist this investigation to please contact Thames Valley Police.

“I would also ask anybody who was driving in the area and may have dash-cam, to please check this and get in touch if it has captured anything that may help us.

“You can make a report online or by calling us on 101, quoting reference 43250405015.
