READING Buses is bringing some of its classic vehicles to the town centre to celebrate 125 years in operation.
From the junction of West Street and Broad Street Mall, there will be buses from throughout the decades on show, finishing with one of its latest electric buses near the Oracle, decorated to celebrate the milestone.
The showcase will include buses from throughout the decades, running through from the 1940s right up to the present day.
There will also be a free running day with vintage buses providing trips from St Mary’s Butts and following historic routes around the town.
There will also be a chance to buy commemorative memorabilia to mark Reading Buses’ 125th year.
A limited edition set of commemorative mugs, including a special gold as part of the set and on its own, will be available, as well as a new book charting the history of the company and every bus operated over the 125 years.
The Reading Buses 125-year Showcase takes place on Broad Street on Sunday, October 4.
