COMMUNITY groups across Reading will co-host an upcoming event to help educate people on suicide and how to combat it.
Organisations including Utulivu Women’s Group, Acre, Community United West Berkshire, Healthwatch Reading and Reading Borough Council are inviting those interested in finding out more to the South Reading Community Centre on September 15.
The workshop, entitled Community Suicide First Aid Conversations, will empower those in attendance to ‘build community reslience’. Discussions will be supported by Community Suicide First Aid Ambassadors, with visitors encouraged to take on similar roles.
The workshop will take place from noon-3pm.
