A FRENCH film that is family friendly and explores mother-daughter relationships will be screened in Pangbourne this weekend.

The Pangbourne Twinning Association is organising the showing of Petite Maman. The U-rated film is a modern fairy tale that tells the story of eight-year-old Nelly as she comes to terms with the death of her grandmother. A discovery in the woods leads to a fantastical journey.

The movie is 72 minutes and has English subtitles. The Bafta-nominated film stars Joséphine Sanz, Gabrielle Sanz, Nina Meurisse, Stéphane Varupenne and Margot Abascal.

Tickets cost £7 on the door, and the screening takes place from 7.30pm on Sunday, November 26, at Pangbourne Village Hall.
