Police are searching for a man in Woodley following a domestic incident.
Officers are currently in the area as they try to locate the man, who police believe is known to those involved in the incident.
Thames Valley Police said there was no threat to the wider public.
The man is described as white, about 5ft 10ins (178cm) tall and around 30 years old, with an average build and short dark hair.
He is believed to be wearing dark-coloured shorts and a T-shirt, and may be wearing gloves.
Police have urged anyone who sees him not to approach him, but to call 999.
Anyone with information which could help officers locate him is asked to call 101, quoting reference 589 of 14 September.
Members of the public who have concerns can also speak to a uniformed officer in the area.
