A man has been arrested after a woman was allegedly sexually assaulted and two men were physically assaulted on the University of Reading campus.
Thames Valley Police said the incidents happened between 22:00 and 23:00 on Thursday, 23 July, between the on-site Co-op and the International Study and Language Institute.
A woman in her 30s was allegedly sexually assaulted by a man, who then physically assaulted two other victims – a man in his 20s and a man in his 40s.
Police said the suspect was later detained and is also reported to have made racial comments and threats towards another man.
Following his arrest, he allegedly continued to make a number of racial comments.
The woman and the man in his 20s suffered minor injuries but did not require hospital treatment.
A 27-year-old man from Reading has been arrested on suspicion of attempted rape, assault and public order offences.
He has been released on conditional bail while police enquiries continue.
Police are appealing for anyone who was in the area between 22:00 and 23:00 and may have seen the incident or the moments leading up to it.
Anyone with CCTV, dashcam or mobile phone footage from before or after the incident is also urged to come forward.
