ADOPTION and trauma recovery charity PACT (Parents and Children Together) is making it possible for supporters to make their will free of charge as part of Free Wills Month.

Free Wills Month ran during March but PACT has extended the scheme to include early April too.

Supporters will be able to write a legally valid will, at no cost, while helping secure the future of the charity’s vital work with children, families, and communities.

Natausha van Vliet, Chief Executive of PACT, said: “A will is one of the most important documents any of us will ever make, yet many people delay it because of the cost or complexity.

“Our free will service removes those barriers and gives people the chance to provide for loved ones while also leaving a legacy of hope for vulnerable children and families.”

PACT has partnered with Octopus Legacy to make the process simple, secure, and free.

In as little as 15 minutes, anyone can create a legal will, which will then be checked by PACT’s legal experts and sent to applicants for the required signatures.

PACT is dedicated to helping people heal and thrive after trauma.

Through its services, the charity creates families through adoption and offers lifelong support to adoptive parents and children.

It empowers women facing multiple disadvantages through its Alana House community project, and helps children heal from the trauma of domestic abuse through its Bounce Back 4 Kids (BB4K) programme.

Supporter Emma, who made her will through using PACT’s free wills service, said: “I’d been putting off making my will for years, but when I saw that PACT was offering this it gave me the push I needed.

“The whole process was really easy and took me through it step by step.

“It took barely 20 minutes to complete, and I received the documents through the post to sign, in a matter of days.

“It’s such a weight off my mind that this is now sorted and I’m delighted that I could leave a small gift to PACT too.

“I know every donation PACT receives enables the charity to provide expert trauma recovery support to more people that need it.”

The service is offered with no obligation, but if supporters choose to leave a gift to PACT, they will be helping ensure the charity can continue delivering life-changing adoption support, community projects, and family services for generations to come.

The offer ends on Sunday, April 12.
