A HERD of prehistoric creatures is on course to take to the streets of Reading next week.
Made entirely from toy bricks, the collection of 19 creative dinosaur builds includes a huge stegosaurus made from more than 180,000 bricks, baby dinosaurs and an interactive model ready for selfies.
Along the route, visitors can hunt for hidden clues, crack the mystery phrase on their trail map and enter a competition for the chance to win dino-mite prizes.
Visitors can also collect exclusive limited-edition Reading Dino Trail trading cards throughout the summer.
Available from participating independent businesses, visitors who spend £3.50 or more can receive a foil pack of five custom-designed cards from a collection of 25, featuring the trail’s brick dinosaurs alongside designs by a local illustrator.
Alexa Volker, Reading BID Manager, said: “We wanted this year’s summer trail to feel bigger, more interactive and connected to our fantastic independents.
“The trail encourages visitors to broaden their horizons as they explore the town centre, inspiring them to discover places they might not otherwise visit.”
The Reading Dino Trail is buggy-friendly and suitable for all ages, making it a fun and affordable summer activity for families, friends and dinosaur fans alike.
The models used in Reading Dino Trail have been designed and created by Iconic Bricks, a specialist in large-scale brick models and interactive trails
Free trail maps can be collected from The Oracle, Broad Street Mall Customer Service Desk, Reading Station Tourist Information Stand, Reading Central Library, and Reading Museum.
