Charli XCX brought her Brat era to Reading Festival as she headlined the main stage on Friday night.
The pop star was one of the biggest names on this year’s line-up, taking to the stage at Richfield Avenue as thousands of festivalgoers gathered to watch her performance.
Her headline set came on the opening night of the three-day festival, with fans singing along to tracks from across her career.
Charli XCX rose to global prominence with hits including Boom Clap, 360 and Apple, while her 2024 album Brat became one of the defining pop records of the year.
The album’s distinctive green artwork and “Brat summer” cultural phenomenon helped propel the singer to a new level of global fame.
Friday’s performance was part of a packed opening day at Reading Festival, which also featured a surprise appearance from Jamie T earlier in the day.
