A POST OFFICE in west Reading will need to set up a mail redirection service – as it is on the move.

The Salisbury Road branch will close on Saturday, July 13, from 5.30pm, and then reopen on Friday, July 26, from 1pm, at a new location – ZVF PHARMA Ltd on Oxford Road.

The move follows a consultation exercise.

Post Office says the new branch has parking and a disabled bay nearby, which will help some customers. A further review of parking confirmed parking is available in side streets and with dropped kerbs at crossing points to reach the new location.

There will be two full-screened Post Office counters and the same range of Post Office products and services will be available as currently.

ZVF Pharma believes the move will help maintain access to Post Office services, enhance the viability of the business, and see an increase in opening hours – from 9am to 5.30pm every day apart from Sunday. At the moment, the branch closes at 5pm on Wednesdays.
