TODAY, Reading went to the polls in the local elections.
A total of 16 seats are up for grabs on Reading Borough Council – one in every ward.
Twelve of the seats are held by Labour, two by the Greens, one Conservative and one Lib Dem.
There are a number of parties standing in the elections, including Reform UK, TUSC, and several independents.
Counting is taking place at Rivermead Leisure Centre, with the final results due in the early hours of the morning.
People were also asked to vote in the Police and Crime Commissioner elections. This result will not be announced until Saturday, and this count is taking place in Newbury, as it affects all Thames Valley residents, not just people in Reading.
