Teen motorcyclist fighting for life after Kings Road crash in Reading

A teenage motorcyclist is in hospital with life-threatening injuries following a serious collision on Kings Road in Reading.

The crash happened at around 1.20pm on Thursday (12 February) and involved a black Yamaha motorcycle, a white Nissan Juke and a blue Nissan Qashqai.

The rider of the motorcycle, a man in his late teens, remains in hospital.

Thames Valley Police said officers from its Roads Policing Unit are investigating the circumstances of the collision.

Investigating officer PS Rob Oliver-Clayson said: “Our enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances of this incident which has left a man with life-threatening injuries.

“I am appealing for any witnesses to please come forward and ask any drivers who were in the area at the time and have dashcam footage to review it, as it may contain important information about the collision or the moments leading up to it.”

Footage relating to the incident can also be uploaded through the police’s online portal. Alternatively, information can be provided anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
