Olivia Bailey (MP for Reading West and Mid Berkshire) joined Deputy Prime Minister Angela Rayner yesterday in welcoming the victorious Lionesses following their tremendous Women’s Euros win, welcoming them to 10 Downing Street for a celebratory reception.

Olivia met with the team and manager Sarina Wiegman and had the opportunity to congratulate them on behalf of football fans in Reading West and Mid Berkshire.

Olivia Bailey MP said: “I cannot overstate how excited I was to meet with the Lionesses in Downing Street yesterday. As a longtime fan (and previously an occasional player) of women’s football, I was thrilled to meet this incredible team and tell them that my constituents have been behind them every step of the way.

“The Lionesses have inspired young girls and budding footballers across the country and to me, they have epitomised the English spirit: bravery, strength, community, and resilience.”
