Former Reading FC star Fran Kirby scored England’s fourth goal as they cruised past Sweden to qualify for the Euro 2022 final.
The Lionesses can look forward to the European Championships final on Sunday at Wembley Stadium where they will face either France or Germany.
Arsenal’s Beth Mead put England in front with a sublime touch and finish before full-back Lucy Bronze doubled the lead with a header early in the second-half.
Manchester United striker Alessia Russo scored with an exceptional back heel and Kirby rounded off the scoring with a lob to book England’s place in the final.
Kirby, who was born in Reading, rose up through the youth ranks with the Royals.
She joined the club at age seven and made her senior debut for Reading at 16.
Kirby, who also attended local school Maiden Erlegh, burst onto the scene in Reading’s first team and scored a remarkable 68 goals in 42 league appearances for the Royals.
She earned a move to Chelsea in 2015 and has netted 54 Women’s Super League goals in 85 games for the Blues.
Kirby has won a plethora of honours during her career including two PFA Women’s Players’ Player of the Year Awards, four WSL titles and three FA Cup’s.
