READING FC are back in action after the international break this Saturday when they host Bolton Wanderers in League One.

Ruben Selles’ side are seeking to continue their strong home form up against Bolton, who have made a flying start to the season.

The Royals sit on five points after the first six matches, with both of their league wins coming at home.

Meanwhile, Ian Evatt’s side have started strongly and are in second spot having won four of their opening six games.

Bolton finished in fifth position in the 2022/23 season on 81 points which saw them qualify for the play-offs.

Wanderers missed out on the chance to get to the final at Wembley Stadium after a 2-1 defeat on aggregate to Barnsley.

Bolton opened the new campaign with a win over Lincoln City and have also beaten Cheltenham, Fleetwood and Derby County.

Their only defeat of the season so far came at home to Wigan Athletic where they were thumped 4-0.

Victor Adeboyejo currently leads the way in the scoring charts for Botlto with four goals and an assist from six matches.

Reading and Bolton last met in January 2019 in the Championship and the contest ended in a 1-1 draw as a 92nd minute equaliser from Jack Hobbs cancelled out Nelson Oliveira’s penalty.

Bolton’s last trip to the Select Car Leasing Stadium came in August 2018 where a Yanic Wildschut goal gave the visitors three points.

Predicted Reading line-up: Button, Mbengue, Abbey, Bindon, Mola, Hutchinson, Savage, Knibbs, Azeez, Vickers, Ehibhatiomhan
