Progress is being made on a project to replace offices in Reading with a logistics hub down a road that has been partially closed for months on end.
The Bennet Court offices have been demolished to make way for ‘Greenlight Reading’, an industrial unit and logistics hub in Whitley.
It is located in Bennet Road, which has been partially closed since October 18 last year.
Work on the building is nearly finished for availability in July.

In the town centre, an ice cream parlour is gearing up to take over a travel agents, and an office in a historic building is being turned into a home.

Logistics hub nearly finished (PL/26/0380 and PL/26/0441)
The construction of the Greenlight logistics hub in Whitley is nearly finished.
The website for the new warehouse states that it will be available to let in July.
The development company recently won approval for a series of details about Greenlight, relating to its 39 parking spaces, four electric vehicle charging spaces, the appearance of the building itself and pest control measures.
A permit for the closure of Bennet Road at its junction with the A33 for Thames Water works has been extended until Monday, June 29.
Ice cream taking over former travel agents (PL/26/0081 and PL/26/0082)
A chain ice cream parlour is taking over the former Thomas Cook holiday agency in the town centre.
The address, 37 Broad Street, was occupied by the travel agent and Hays Travel for a number of years.
Now, plans have been approved for the Amarino gelato boutique to open there, between TG Jones and Wenzels.
Amarino also has locations in Henley, Marlow and Bracknell, throughout Europe and in Egypt.
Conversion of historic building back into home (PL/26/0083 and PL/26/0089)
The conversion of part of a historic building back into a home in the town centre back into a home.
The building in Castle Street is Grade II listed as it dates back to the 16th century.
A project is underway to convert some of the rooms in the building into a home, with repairs and renovations to the facade.
An assessment by planning officer Marcelina Rejwerska found the changes to be acceptable, and states that the building has had a mix of commercial and residential uses for years, therefore no change of use application was required.
New signage for Caversham car dealership ( PL/26/0332)
New advertising for a car dealership in Emmer Green has been approved.
The signs show logos for Seat and its spin-off Cupra brand at the Marshall dealership in Peppard Road.
Both car brands are owned by Volkswagen, with the high-performance Cupra cars being launched in 2018.
The advertising was judged to be acceptable and approved on May 7.
