Reading Festival Chorus will present an early Christmas present on Saturday

MEMBERS of Reading Festival Chorus will be performing this weekend with an early festive-themed concert.

The group will be at Wesley Methodist Church on Saturday, November 25.

Starting at the earlier time of 6pm, the concert will feature Britten’s St Nicolas, Vaughan Williams’ Fantasia on Christmas Carols and Byrd’s Three motets.

They will be joined by choirsters from Pembroke College in Oxford, and accompanied by

British Sinfonietta, Judith Creighton and Nick Austin on piano, and Simon Dinsdale on the organ. Greg Hallam is music director.

Tickets cost £18, and free for under 18s, and the church is on Queens Road in Reading.
