Former Reading FC head of football Mark Bowen is set to face the Royals’ fans next month at a fans forum event.

The event, hosted by the Supporters Trust at Reading (STAR) wil take place on Tuesday, November 19 for an exclusive STAR member event.

Bowen, who was dismissed by the club in September for ‘bringing the club into disrepute’ after being found guilty of breaching the FA’s betting rules, will face questions from the fans.

Club captain Andy Yiadom and Kelvin Abrefa will also feature in the first half of the event before Bowen is quizzed by supporters.

The Times had reported that Bowen was in a legal dispute with the club after his contract was terminated.

Bowen, who was first-team manager from 2019-2020 before he rejoined as head of football in 2022, was suspended by the club in July after he was found guilty of placing 95 bets on football matches between April 2022 to January 2024.
