Reading FC got back to winning ways as they battled back from a goal behind to earn three points at home to Huddersfield Town.
After falling behind in the 21st minute, Harvey Knibbs hit a rocket to level before the break and Ben Elliott scored what turned out to be the winner in the 57th minute.
Ruben Selles made one change from Reading’s thumping defeat at Bolton last week as the injured Jeriel Dorsett was replaced by Kelvin Abrefa.
The fans again protested against the Dai family by holding up red cards in the 18th minute which read: “Dai family, sell Reading FC’.
The visitors broke through first after they were awarded a free-kick less than 25 yards from goal which saw Ben Elliott booked for the foul.
Antony Evans struck at goal which forced David Button into a cracking save as he tipped the ball onto the crossbar, but Matty Pearson was on hand to head in on the rebound.
Reading responded quickly to put themselves back on terms when Harvey Knibbs found space in the box and from a tight angle he picked out the top corner by smashing the ball inside the near post.
The Terriers came closest to regaining their lead before the break when Evans tried a stunner from 30 yards which came so close that it had the Huddersfield fans at the opposite end of the stadium fooled, thinking that it had hit the back of the net opposed to striking the frame behind the goal.
Huddersfield had the ball in the net early in the second-half, but were denied by the offside flag before the Royals broke forward quickly on a counter which ended with Campbell being hauled down and Headley receiving a booking.
Selles’ side had turned the game around before the hour mark as a short corner routine found its way on the edge of the box to Ben Elliott who found space to strike through a crowd of bodies to beat Jacob Chapman.
Pushing to find a leveller, Reading almost caught Huddersfield on the break a couple of times with the threat of Kelvin Ehibhatiomhan and Adrian Akande.
Reading navigated their way through six minutes added time to claim the points.
Reading are at home again on Tuesday against Burton Albion.
