TWO of Reading’s most recognisable community sports organisations are joining forces to provide a series of football and cricket tournaments throughout the academic year.
Reading FC Community Trust and Berkshire Cricket Foundation have teamed up to help budding athletes put their skills to the test in a competitive setting through its primary schools sports tournaments 2023-24 project.
Working alongside Reading School, where some of the events will be held, the schedule includes street cricket, 6-a-side football and other multi-sports tournaments. Other venues featured are: University of Reading’s SportsPark and Prospect Park Astro.
Sessions are open to male and female students between Years 1-6.
School and PE leads are encouraged to sign pupils up, with the goal of the programme to enhance the participation and quality of competitive opportunities to children in the Reading area.
