Nominated for The Inspiration Award, Peter Felix, sponsor McDonald’s

The founder of Nemesis Martial Arts and Fitness Peter Felix provides support and essential life skills that have, on numerous occasions, helped individuals escape dangerous situations.

His nominator for The Inspiration Award, sponsored by McDonald’s, added Peter who has run the club for 20 years “has taught martial arts and self-defence to hundreds, if not thousands of children and adults across Reading and Berkshire.

“His reputation has, and continues to, attract attendees from far beyond Reading, a true testament to his impact and the positive role model he exemplifies.

“At 61 years old, Sensei Peter continues to train his students three times a week.

“Despite having a corporate job, he dedicates much of his free time to offer additional coaching, often funding these efforts personally,” they said.

“He is a remarkable source of inspiration; last year, he competed in the World Championships at the age of 60, setting a powerful example for his students that hard work and resilience can make anything possible.

“His unwavering dedication, leadership, and hard work inspire everyone around him.

“Peter has transformed countless lives through his martial arts and, as well as cultivating multiple World Champions among the youth in Reading, he has empowered those who have been bullied.

“He has instilled confidence and discipline in his students, building character and community while leaving a lasting legacy for the young people in Reading,” they said.

“He wholeheartedly deserves to be recognised and celebrated for his positive influence on so many families within the Reading community.”
