As we drag the suitcases out,
We decide we’re packing light,
Until the case is overflowing ‘n’
We’ve been at it half the night.
Should we bring our own teabags?
Can I actually walk in these shoes?
Will my hair frizz without straighteners?
Quite the challenge … what to choose …
I’ll tuck smaller things in larger,
So stuff takes up less space,
Then forget all about them,
So they vanish without a trace.
Can I fit inside this swimsuit?
Are my shorts showing too much thigh?
Why didn’t I lose half a stone a
Month ago … I ask myself … why?
I don’t have a handheld thingie so
I will have to hop on the scales,
Next year I’m not flying … I’ll
Have a nice weekend .. in Wales.
