Oxford Road Post Office has opened today (Friday) at a new location – Oxford Road Pharmacy, 266-268 Oxford Road, Reading, RG30 1AD.
This branch is a replacement for Salisbury Road Post Office.
A new Postmaster took over Salisbury Road Post Office at 198 Oxford Road in January following the retirement of Jasminder Singh, who had been at the helm for 34 years.
New owners, ZVF PHARMA LTD, have now relocated this branch to their existing pharmacy at nearby 266-268 Oxford Road, Reading, RG30 1AD.
The owners believe that the move will help to secure continued access to Post Office services locally, as well as supporting the viability of their business. There is also time restricted parking and a disabled parking bay nearby.
There are two full-screened Post Office counters and the same range of Post Office products and services are available as before.
The new opening hours are Monday to Saturday: 9am-5.30pm.
The priority was to re-open this Post Office for the community, now finishing touches will be carried out to the new-look premises.
