AN ART collective’s follow-up exhibition is continuing the work of the original at a venue in Reading.
Open Collective is returning to the town with Entropy 02: The Meeting Point following on from their exhibition Entropy.
The collection explores the lack of order in the world and the universe’s inherent tendency towards disarray, and draws comparison between this and integration into the community.
The second iteration of the exhibition focuses on the change of Hypha Studios, a space which held the first collection and artists say has shifted to hosting a physical ‘meeting point’ of common threads between them and their work.
It follows a showing of their work at the same space which began in December last year and concluded last week.
Open Collective is a Reading-based art group which seeks to struggle against oppression through artistic expression and hosts a number of regular events to support community play and collaborative art.
It hosts a number of events during the residency of its works, with details available via their Instagram page, @open_collective_.
Hypha Studios is a charity which matches creatives and artists with spaces to host their work, working to regenerate the high street by creating cultural hubs.
It provides free studio and project space to test ideas for artists free from financial constraint, which is in turn then used to create public events
Entropy 02: The Meeting Point is showing at Hypha Studios, Minster Street, Reading, from Saturday February 10, to Saturday, March 23.
The exhibition is open between noon and 4pm Friday-Monday, and entry is free.
