An Oasis reunion looks to finally be on the cards after Liam Gallagher teased a return at the end of his Reading Festival set.

The Brit pop icon closed the main stage at Reading Festival 2024, with a set list littered with Oasis’ biggest hits, finished with a cover of the Beatles’ I am the Walrus.

Following the final song, fans were sent into meltdown after a message appeared on the screen reading ‘27.08.24, 8am’.

Oasis’ official Twitter account, as well as Noel Gallagher and Liam Gallagher have posted the same message.

It has been rumoured over the past week that the Gallagher brothers are finally set to put their differences aside and reform the band, celebrating the 30th anniversary of their album Definitely Maybe.

Music fans will now be eagerly awaiting an announcement from the band on Tuesday morning.

Oasis last performed together in 2009 before the brothers had a very public fall out which led to the band splitting up.

They last performed at Reading Festival in 2000, while Liam Gallagher has now headlined the festival in 2021 and 2024.
