A MAN has been arrested by Thames Valley Police in connection with two rapes which took place in Reading.
John Opoku, aged 20 and of no fixed abode, was charged with two counts of rape and one of fraud by false representation on Wednesday, February 8.
The arrest is in connection with an incident during which a woman in her forties was raped by a male in Prospect Mews Sunday, January 15, this year, and another in Emmer Green between 12.30am and 1am on Saturday, June 11, last year.
Opoku was remanded in custody on Wednesday, February 8, and is due to appear in court later today (Thursday, February 9).
