FA Trophy third qualifying round

BRACKNELL TOWN put their name in the next round of the FA Trophy with an away success against Hanwell Town.

The Robins opened the scoring through Jordan Esprit before Bracknell goalkeeper Simon Grant made a vital stop just moments later to maintain the lead.

The home side levelled the game up after teh restart, but it was Bracknell who found the decisive goal as Ashley Lodge set up Esprit to score the winner.

Hnwell had the chance to level in stoppage time after they were awarded a penalty, but their taker fired over the target which meant that Bracknell progressed.

BINFIELD picked up just their third point of the season as they held Metropolitan Police to a draw.

The Moles went in front through Dontaye Whittaker, but the visitors ensured that the teams shared the points with a 1-1 draw.

Combined Counties Premier North

WOKINGHAM & EMMBROOK picked up a point on the road on their trip to Broadfields United.

The Sumas flew into an early lead when Jake Woods’ free-kick was nodded in by Ryan Millward.

With just over 10 minutes left to play, Broadfields found the net which meant that the teams went home with a point each.

READING CITY lost out on their away trip to Wallingford & Crowmarsh.

The 2-0 defeat means that the Cityzens are in 19th place after their opening six matches, but with plenty of games in hand on all the sides around them in the table.

Combined Counties Division One

YATELEY UNITED added three more points on the board with a convincing win over Hillingdon Borough.

The 4-1 win means that Yateley are in fifth place on 24 points from their first 12 league matches.

EVERSLEY & CALIFORNIA lost out 4-2 away to Oxhey Jets.

Thames Valley Premier League

FiNCHAMPSTEAD climbed up to second place after they got the better of Maidenhead Town.

Goals from Callum Vallance, Aqeel Butt and Dylan Chaffin helped Finch to a 3-1 victory which takes them into second, four points behind leaders Windsor & Eton.

BURGHFIELD moved into sixth with a 2-0 away win at Holyport Reserves.

READING CITY U23s picked up an away point in a 2-2 draw with Slough Heating Laurencians with goals from Sam Garofalo and Quaye Vine.

WARGRAVE won for the first time in the league this season with a 3-0 triumph over SB Phoenix.
