THE FAMILY of Gerard Coulter, who died following an incident last month, have released a tribute to him.

“Our hearts are broken with the loss of Gerard, a soul whose warmth, creativity, and kindness left an indelible mark on all who were fortunate to know him.

“As a son, brother, grandson, cousin, nephew and uncle, he brought love and light into our lives in ways that words can scarcely describe. His quiet demeanour and kind spirit brought comfort to everyone around him, reminding us that gentleness is a strength of its own.

“His passing was sudden and violent, something no one deserves, least of all someone as kind and gentle as Gerard. He always sought the good in people, even when it wasn’t easy to find, and he looked for the positive in every situation.

“His belief in the goodness of others and his unwavering hope in life’s possibilities made him a rare and beautiful presence in this world.

“Gerard had an incredible passion for life’s wonders, especially music. His love for music went far beyond just listening. Whether he was playing his keyboard, songwriting, or exploring new sounds, music was his sanctuary.

“Beyond music, Gerard had a fascination with astronomy and the cosmos, reflecting his curious nature. To him, it was more than something to study, it was a reminder of life’s beauty and endless potential.

“His love of comedy and sci-fi revealed another layer of his personality. Whether he was laughing at a timeless joke or marvelling at the creativity, these moments brought him — and those fortunate enough to share them–genuine joy.

“And then there was his lifelong connection to animals, a reflection of his compassionate soul. His tenderness extended to all living creatures, and his love for them was a reminder of his empathy and gentle nature.

“He saw beauty and worth in the smallest of lives, treating them with care and kindness that mirrored how he treated the people in his life.”

They explained: “The void left by his absence is profound–Gerard deserved so much more from life, but the inspiration he gave to all of us will never fade.

“He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, creativity, and curiosity that will continue to guide and uplift us.

“While our hearts ache with the loss of him, we find solace in the memories we carry and the lessons he taught us: to love deeply, to marvel at the stars, to laugh often, and to cherish the music that connects us all.

“Rest in peace, Gerard. You are deeply loved, and your light will forever shine in our hearts.”

Thames Valley Police have launched a murder investigation following the incident.
