Reading FC protest group Sell Before We Dai has reacted to news that Ruben Selles will leave the club to join Hull City.

It is expected that a deal for Selles to join the Championship club will be finalised before the weekend.

The Royals are currently in 6th place in League One, while Hull are in the Championship relegation zone.

Taking to X, formerly Twitter, Sell Before We Dai said: “Dai Yongge is hiding away like a coward.

“Xiu Li is nowhere to be seen and is just as cowardly.

“As for Dayong Pang, we need to see the back of him ASAP.

“The trio’s actions are killing a club that’s 152 years old. The Dai family have form for that.”

Earley and Woodley MP Yuan Yang also took to X to give her thoughts and has pleaded with the club to communicate with fans.

She said: “Dear Reading FC. Your statement on Thursday said ‘we are committed to providing updates when substantive information is available.”

“Since then a bid has been rejected, a high court lawsuit submitted and now the manager has been granted permission to speak to another club.

“Will you provide fans with an update to ensure transparency?

“I understand this is a challenging time for everyone at the club and I have been in touch to discuss which urgent steps need to be taken.”
