Reading FC have been linked with a loan deal for young Arsenal prospect Omari Hutchinson.

The Royals will be limited to only making free agent and loan signings in what will be their second consecutive season under a transfer embargo from the EFL.

With several players out of contract in the summer, Reading look set for a summer rebuild which is likely to include some loan signings.

Football.London has reported that Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is keen for Hutchinson to gain first-team experience next season, with the Royals believed to be interested.

He has been predominantly at right midfield as well as being able to operate as an attacking midfielder and central midfielder.

Hutchinson, who joined Arsenal’s academy in 2015, is highly touted by the staff at the Gunners’ Hale End academy to become a future star and may follow in the footsteps of Bukayo Sake, Emile Smith-Rowe and Eddie Nketiah who have enjoyed breakthroughs for the first-team in recent seasons.
