Reading FC forward Kelvin Ehibhatiomhan will be out of action for the next few months after suffering a hip injury.

The Royals were in FA Cup action yesterday, where they beat League Two Fleetwood Town, but Ehibhatiomhan was not involved.

Ruben Selles confirmed that the forward has picked up a hip tendon injury which will keep him on the sidelines for around three months.

The 21-year-old has been a pivotal figure in Selles’ team over the last two seasons.

He has two goals to his name from 14 games in all competitions this season and totalled five goals in 40 League One appearances last campaign.

Selles will now be forced to reshape his attack after news of Ehibhatiomhan’s injury comes just a few days after Sam Smith was ruled out of the next few weeks.
