MEMBERS of the Armed Forces, past and present, will be able to travel free of charge on Reading Buses this weekend.
The company is offering the transport to anyone in full uniform, displaying their medals or has a veteran’s badge, allowing them to get to and from remembrance events taking place on Saturday, November 11, and Sunday, November 12.
Bus drivers will also be able to pull their buses over to observe the two minutes silence at 11am on both days, in honour of those who have given their lives in conflicts.
Most buses in the fleet have been decorated with a poppy on the front.
Reading Buses says it will be making a contribution to the Royal British Legion charity appeal.
