A group who have worked tirelessly over the past 32 years have raised over £300,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support.

The Central Berkshire Committee have raised awareness of cancer support in Reading and beyond, said their nominator for the Fundraiser of the Year award sponsored by Cherubs Floral Design.

The committee involves the youth of Reading in their fundraising through volunteer fairs at local education facilities and they support local fundraisers to ensure that their fundraising events are safe and fun, they added.

“This group with Mark at the helm, have gone from strength to strength and have continued to wave the green flag even after the founders of the group passed away.
