THAMES Valley Police has made an arrest following an explosion in Reading yesterday.

Police investigating an explosion on Kings Road in the early hours of Thursday, July 18, have made an arrest in relation to their enquiries.

A 41-year-old woman from Reading was arrested on suspicion of arson with intent to endanger life.

She has been released on bail until October 11.

Investigating officer Detective Inspector Jon Morley said: “We are continuing to investigate this incident and have made an arrest in connection with it.

“I know that incidents such as this cause a great deal of concern, but I would like to reassure the local community that we have made an arrest and we do believe this to have been an isolated incident.
