THAMES Valley Police is appealing for witnesses after three people were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder in Tilehurst on Thursday, August 4.
Two men, aged 18 and 20, and a 17-year-old boy, all from Reading, have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and a 38-year-old man from Reading has been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.
Police believe this is linked to an earlier incident in Southcote, on the same day, where an 18-year-old man from Reading has been arrested on suspicion of inflicting GBH with intent.
At around 5.45pm yesterday, police say a teenage girl was assaulted by a male in Coronation Square, Southcote.
Then, at approximately 6.10pm yesterday, a different victim, a man in his teens, was on Pierce’s Hill, Tilehurst, when police say they were hit by a van.
The victim of the assault in Coronation Square suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital, where they remain.
The victim of the van collision in Pierce’s Hill sustained life-changing injuries and was taken to hospital where he remains.
