Police are appealing for help to identify a man following an alleged assault at The Oracle shopping centre in Reading.
The incident happened at around 7.15pm on Saturday, 9 May.
According to police, a woman was shopping in Zara with a friend when a man approached her from behind and attempted to start a conversation.
The woman told him she was not interested and asked him to leave her alone.
Officers said the man walked away but returned a short time later and again tried to speak to her. The woman repeated her request and warned that she would contact police if he continued.
Police said the woman later encountered the man again and described him as staring at her in a fixed manner.
After returning to Zara to exchange some clothing, the woman and her friend allegedly came across the man once more.
The victim began taking photographs and recording him on her phone, police said.
It is alleged that the man then became verbally and physically aggressive, grabbing the woman by the arms and causing bruising.
Police said he also seized hold of her bag and refused to let go until she agreed to delete the images she had taken.
An investigation is ongoing and officers are now appealing for information to help identify a man they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.
