Reading FC returned to winning ways at the weekend with a 2-0 victory over Notts County at the Select Car Leasing Stadium.
The Royals produced a strong performance in front of their home supporters, securing all three points with two goals and keeping a clean sheet against a Notts County side that had started the season strongly.
There was plenty for the home crowd to celebrate as Reading controlled large parts of the contest and produced some important moments at both ends of the pitch.
It was Reading’s star man who was on top form once again as Marriott broke the deadlock shortly after the restart in the second-half and then sealed the win in the 72nd minute.
He has now netted 8 League One goals in just six appearances.
