A BOROUGH charity has been celebrating the success of its Charity Quiz Night.
Berkshire MS Therapy Centre’s fundraising event at the Jazz Café at Reading FC’s Select Car Leasing Stadium, saw nearly 80 people battle it out over eight tough rounds of quizzing.
The winning team ‘It’s Always the Mad Stad’ proudly displayed its winners’ medals and prizes at the end of the evening.
There was also the opportunity to bid in an auction for a shirt signed by Reading Football Club players, as well as a raffle to win prizes, including those donated by Weybrook Park Golf Club, Double Barrelled Brewery, and Henry Street Garden Centre.
The event raised an impressive £1,588.
Berkshire MS Therapy Centre in Reading offers specialised therapies, including oxygen therapy and physiotherapy, as well as a social space for individuals living with MS (Multiple Sclerosis) throughout Berkshire and its surrounding areas.
Although there is currently no cure for MS, the therapies provided at the centre significantly enhance the quality of life for those affected.
Freia Pagdin, senior fundraising manager at the centre said: “We are so grateful to everyone who came along and took part in our fantastic quiz night.
“Everyone had a great time and we raised really vital funds to help us support local people with MS.
“We would like to thank everyone who generously provided raffle prizes, the Jazz Café for being such a welcoming venue, and of course Reading Football Club for their generous gift of a signed shirt for auction.
“And huge congratulations to our winning team.”
