POETS’ Cafe is returning to Reading this week for its regular celebration of verse.
The event welcomes local poets as well as guest performers in a monthly open-mic showcase.
September’s edition will see returning hosts Vic Pickup and Katherine Meehan joined by Luke Palmer.
Palmer is an award-winning poet and author, as well as a secondary school teacher, hailing from Wiltshire.
His young adult fiction novel Grow was shortlisted for the Branford Boase Award and longlisted for the Yoto Carnegie Medal, and followed up by two further novels to date.
Poets’ Cafe returns to South Street Arts Centre on Friday, September 12, and again on the second Friday of each month.
