THAMES Valley Police is renewing its appeal for witnesses after a man has died of his injuries from a serious collision.
At around 2.30pm on Friday, May 1, a collision involving a red Mazda 2 and a blue Toyota Yaris took place on Purley Rise, Purley on Thames.
The driver of the Mazda, a man in his eighties, received serious injuries, and has now died in hospital.
No arrests have yet been made.
PC Jon Wildridge, of the Joint Operations Roads Policing Unit, said: “Very sadly, the driver of the Mazda has now died from the injuries he sustained in this collision, and our thoughts are with his family at this difficult time.
“We are continuing to investigate the circumstances of the collision and are still keen to hear from anyone who witnessed what happened or saw either vehicle in the area beforehand.
“If you have any information, or relevant dashcam footage, please come forward as it may be vital to our enquiries.”
