A man has been arrested following an incident in Reading on Tuesday evening.
Thames Valley Police spokesperson, said it had received a report of an assault with injury at around 7.50pm on Tuesday evening in Audley Street, Reading.
A spokesperson told Reading Today: “The victim, a man in his thirties, suffered stab wounds and was taken to hospital.
“There is a scene watch in place while officers investigate the assault.
“A 33-year-old man from Southall was arrested in connection with the incident.”
Thames Valley Police is appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
It also confirmed this incident is related to reports of armed police officers seen outside Royal Berkshire hospital yesterday evening.
The spokesperson added: “Please contact the force on 101 or by making a report online quoting investigation reference number 43240211518.”
