Police have released CCTV images of two people they want to speak to after a gym was set alight in Reading.

Thames Valley Police said the incident happened at about 02:40 GMT on Friday 30 January at the Atrium Health Club.

Officers said two people forced entry into the building, damaging a glass door before pouring fire accelerant onto the floor and setting the gym area on fire.

The pair then left the scene. No one was injured during the incident.

Investigating officer Det Con Johanna Grant said police were now appealing to the public for help identifying the two people captured on CCTV.

“I am appealing to anyone who recognises the people in these images to please come forward as we believe they may have vital information to assist our investigation,” she said.
