A CONCERT in Reading will support people with cancer, and their families.
October music from Phoenix Choir will raise funds for Berkshire Cancer Centre at the Royal Berkshire Hospital.
“The idea came from the choir, as over the years we have sadly lost members to cancer,” said a choir member.
“As a group we wanted to do something to contribute to and support cancer care in our local community.
“While the NHS provides essential funding for the centre, charitable donations can make an important difference by helping to improve the treatment environment and providing additional facilities and support for patients and their families.”
Audience members attending the event can expect an evening of inspiring choral music, while helping to improve the experience of local people undergoing cancer treatment and supporting their families.
The concert will take place at Reading Minster, on Saturday, October 17.
The music begins at 5pm, with tickets costing £15 for adults, and £10 for students.
