A READING group is holding a film and discussion evening about how to secure a thriving future for humanity and the living world.
Called How to Save the Planet: Degrowth versus Green Growth? The film is presented by Global Justice Reading.
It sees Professor Samuel Fankhauser and Professor Jason Hickel, two green growth and de-growth proponents, debate the issues.
While they take different stances, they agree that change to the current economic growth model is necessary.
The film and discussion is open to the public.
The event takes place at Reading International Solidarity Centre (RISC), 35 – 39 London Street, on Wednesday, May 24.
