Police community support officers helped safely reunite a dog with its owners after it was reported running loose near a road.
PCSOs Irvine and Whiting were on patrol when they responded to a call from a member of the public reporting a frightened dog running in and out of traffic, causing concern for its safety.
Officers were able to calmly guide the dog away from the road and bring it to a safe place while efforts were made to trace its owners.
Police say the dog was looked after until the owners were quickly located and it was safely reunited with them.
