PLANS are in full swing for this year’s Woodley Carnival, and organisers are accepting applications for stalls.

The annual event will take place on Saturday, June 10.

More than 5,000 people are expected to visit on the day, which includes a dog show, a flower show and a classic car show, as well as a fairground.

Local groups, businesses and charities host stalls offering fun and games for all ages, and there is a beer tent and other refreshments available.

It all centres around the arena, where there will be displays of singing, dancing and acrobatics. Groups can apply to perform for free in a slot lasting up to 15 minutes.

There will also be an evening concert, with the line-up to be confirmed.
