A SERVING officer with Thames Valley Police has been charged in connection with a sexual assault.
PC Brendon Dowd was charged last week with a count of sexual assault by touching of a woman aged over 16.
He was charged on May 12, in relation to an incident with an incident which took place in St Mary’s Butts, Reading, on April 14 last year.
He was not on duty at the time of the incident.
PC Dowd, who is based at Reading police station, is currently suspended from duty, and is due to appear before Guildford Magistrates’ Court on June 16.
