POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a road collision left a teenager hospitalised with serious head injuries in Reading.
At around 3pm on Sunday, August 2, a road traffic collision took place at the traffic light-controlled cross road junction of Berkley Avenue, Pell Street, Elgar Road and Katesgrove Lane.
A black e-bike and a silver Kia Picanto were both involved, leaving the rider–a 17-year-old boy–with serious head injuries.
The rider is still in hospital undergoing treatment.
Investigating officer PC Jamie Payne, of the Joint Operations Roads Policing Unit, said: “We are carrying out a thorough investigation into this collision and I am appealing to anybody who witnessed what happened to please get in touch.
“I am particularly keen to hear from anyone who was driving in the area around the time of the collision and may have dash-cam footage that captured the incident, or the moments leading up to it.
“Any information, no matter how insignificant it may seem, could be vital to our investigation.”
