Reading FC have confirmed their retained and released list following the conclusion of the 2025/26 League One campaign.
The Royals had a disappointing end to their season as they finished in 12th position having looked to have been in a strong position to qualify for the play-offs just a couple of months back under manager Leam Richardson, who is now facing pressure from a large majority of the fanase.
The club have taken up the option to extend defender Jeriel Dorsett’s contract by a further year, ensuring his stay at the Select Car Leasing Stadium into next season.
Meanwhile, discussions are ongoing with Kelvin Abrefa and Andy Rinomhota over new deals, as the Royals look to retain key members of the squad.
Several players will depart upon the expiry of their contracts this summer. The club issued thanks to those leaving for their contributions.
Midfielder Mamadi Camara, a Guinea-Bissau international, leaves after making 75 first-team appearances and scoring seven goals, having joined the academy in 2020.
Ben Elliott, who signed from Chelsea in 2023, departs after scoring three goals in 79 appearances. The club confirmed it will continue to support his rehabilitation as he recovers from injury.
Defender Michael Stickland, an academy graduate, also leaves after progressing into the senior side. He made 22 first-team appearances, having previously captained the Under-21s to Berks and Bucks Senior Cup success in 2024.
Zimbabwe international Tivonge Rushesha exits after 38 appearances, following his arrival from Swansea City in 2023.
Long-serving full-back Andy Yiadom brings an eight-year spell at the club to an end. A former captain, Yiadom made 250 appearances for Reading and ranks among the club’s top 40 all-time appearance makers.
Reading’s squad reshaping comes as Richardson prepares for his first full season in charge, with further transfer activity expected over the summer.
