Reading FC have announced when tey will reveal their new home kit for the 2026/27 season.
The club confirmed on Thursday that gambling company ‘Mr Vegas’ would become their new front-of-shirt sponsor for the upcoming campaign, taking over from Select Car Leasing.
That move has been met with mixed reactions from supporters. Some have expressed their disappointment at the club choosing to promote gambling, while some others have noted the ruthless nature of the football industry and are on board with the club getting the best deal possible.
The Royals confirmed on social media that the new home kit would be officially unveiled on Tuesday, July 28th.
Last years design was also met with divided opinions with the club opting for a more complex design that the usually preferred block of blue and white hoops. It appears that this season that the club will return to a more traditional hoops design for the home kit.
Reading will kick off their new season with an away trip to Bromley in the EFL Cup on August 8 in the first-round of the competition. They then host Jack Wilshere’s Luton Town the following Saturday in their opening game of the 26/27 League One season.
